Nice stuff! I'm not a car person, but the earlier shots are great. I particularly like the 'Blackened' shot, although it could with some better cropping. You've got some great textures there.

The 'Holding On' shot makes nice use of composition although it appears out of focus. Capturing the frost in focus would make it far more effective, and hopefully your new macro lens will help that

Nice work!

Thanks, well. I am a total car-guy, so I enjoy taking pictures of them, I like it the most when it's in that kind of show with all the lights and colors etc.

Thanks for the tip, about the focus, it's really hard to get a good focus with a 18/75mm lens when you go so close, so yeah, I will take alot of pictures with a Macro.

Nice colors in that one. Would look better in a square format though, cropping the right side off just after the largest tree in the middle. That way, your composition can slope down from the large tree to the next two smaller trees and finally fade off into gentle slope.

Like John D I'm not really a car person, though I know you can get some rather dramatic shots using a wide angle lens up close.

Blackened is my fave one, though the framing might have been a bit better if you were further away (or zoomed out) as you have cut the left hand side off, and I think a touch more negative space under the main focal flower would help. I'd also have tried with a smaller aperture as well for a larger depth of field and compared the two. Though I do like the focus as you have it.

Keep it up ;]

Really nice medley of colors in that one.

I think you should try to do a reshoot with "Blackened," looks like it needs a more vertical composition.

Thanks.

Only problem with that is, it's outside. It's below -2 degrees Celsius outside and snowing + heavy winds. I think that the flowers are dead and gone by now.

I think a chill just went down my spine when I read that. Regardless of the cold, it's definitely something to keep in mind for the future. Sometimes I like to get fake flowers, preferably wooden ones and take pictures of those as final images or to give me ideas for when I have real flowers as my subjects.

It is pretty chilly outside, not too bad though. We have some indoor plants, but impossible to get some good shots without a Macro lens..
Will have to wait 'till the summer and then go around in our yard. Got some nice plants there.
