Was your last photograph taken at the same time as your submission for the abstract? I think it would be really nice to see those two color corrected to the same levels and put beside each other. I think they'd look nice with a white matte frame or something similar.

The first image is also really interesting to me. I like how you almost, but not quite made it grayscale. The blue quality is what I think makes it flow well with the water. I wouldn't mind seeing the low side of that pipe like object, it sort of fades off. However, you may have reasons for doing so because it does almost act like a gradation.

Anyway, I'm curious to see more work from you in the future, and congrats for getting so many votes in the poll. ^.^

Hey man thanks! They were taken at the same time... I'll touch the other up the same way I did this one and see what they look like together or even in a triptych maybe...

I was just working with available light (which wasn't much) for the first one, so that's why the bottom isn't as clear as it would be optimally

Nice one, could be a bit sharper though. The noise adds to the mood/concept of the photo.

Yeah I actually added a bunch of noise in PS afterword... I tried sharpening it a little there but mainly I just got it a little bit out of focus so I don't think I can fix it much now

I love the concept of "Mistake". I agree with purplerose on the sharpness issue, but the idea is awesome.

The last one looks interesting. What exactly did you do with it in photoshop?

Shoot more often

Hey Nike thanks for commenting! Sorry I haven't been around to respond :P

First off: the triptych from the picture earlier in this thread and my submission to the "abstract" photochallenge:

As for the edits on the last one... I took the "desaturate" tool and manually desaturated all of the grey areas, and then bumped up the yellows a TON. I also burned the top left/bottom right corners and from them almost to the middle a little bit in a sort of gradient effect

Hmm I like it. colors may be a bit muted for my taste but thats bc I have a fetish for color! I would like to see some more industrial shots from ya. maybe mix your taste for abstract with architecture and oudoor stills some more? Keep em coming!

Good news! I will probably be getting a new camera soon now (it has gone from "hoping" to "happening"), and then I can actually start getting some new pictures. yay

For now, I pirated CS4 (or am working on it... now the serial number I used "isn't valid". imagine that :P) and wanted to try it out, so this is a picture I took probably 3 years ago that I never touched up. Since it's starting to feel like winter (at least where I live), I thought it would be fitting:

Snowglobe
