Note Jack O. - B&W Photography

Heya.

I'm an amateur photographer. I do little to no editing on my work unless specified otherwise. I use a Canon Digital Rebel XTi and a Canon AE-1.

Still getting used to how this site works... I'll start with a couple old ones. More later.

I like the textures of the mattress image. Maybe brighten the highlights more to help the contrast?

I don't edit my photos... the only work I do on them (with the exception of a couple for school (basic levels), and about five that I'll point out when I post) is basic cropping and exposure compensation using the RAW editing software that came with the camera. (Canon Digital Rebel xti) I have Photoshop CS3, and I play around with it sometimes... but, for the most part, I don't use it.

Even if I did, my monitor is a beast of a CRT, and it's pushing ten years. I literally cannot see the text on many of these pages without highlighting it. I wish there was an option to change the color scheme.

That last one is great. Well they all are, but I like the way you caught the water drops in particular

These are all really old, but I thought I should start with the oldest stuff and work from there.

Note More.

More old stuff. Don't particularly care for much of it anymore, but I feel that I should post it. Get my older stuff represented.

Yeah, I know, some of it is junk. I was enthusiastic about it at the time, though... maybe someone else will be. I shoot for a specific feeling in my photographs, not technical perfection... i want to capture a moment, and how that moment makes me feel. I like images with texture... too many people spend all their time carefully editing all of that out in Photoshop, but I love it. I love the human touch, and I love imperfections.

I like the Ferris Wheel (the first one more than the second), kind of has an "old, forgotten, dusty fairground" feel to it ^^

More, More.

Some newer stuff. Getting bored of going through old files. And these ones will actually be linked from photobucket!

Also, I hate the emoticons here.
