Wasn't able to get in this one, but good work by those who participated, tough vote.

-Alucard: I really like the overall mood and feel of yours. I'm thinking you shadows and midtones could be darker to push the mood even further. Film? You got my vote!

-carolupus: Love the smoothness of your subject. I think it would enhance the presentation if you tried a triptych/diptych.

-ShadeOfDawn: Really nice concept. It's like the plant is wondering if the coast is clear.

Hello quickly!

Alucard has the light of darkness thing going, but when I saw 'BLACK' in the subject title I got some impressions and well, Alucard's photo is kinda... yellow.

Carolupus, in my opinion, got more of the 'BLACK' thing going on; less of the darkness, more of the BLACK. I also very much like the contorted reflection at the turning point.

Using the same basis as judging for the above two there's then ShadeOfDawn's, which is less dark than Alucard's and less BLACK than Carolupus's - so not much either way, to be honest.

End result; I voted for Carolupus.
I can't wait 'til the end of the month when I can spend more time at the forum again; that'd be nice.

Tut at the Rose - spleling mistakes just cannot be tolerated.

good stuff.

Alucard- I agree with pushing the contrast a bit, bringing up the blacks a little, but i love the concept, and the expression and grain are great

carolupus- the texture of the subject is great, and i love how the lighting exemplifies it. shape is great too.

Shadeofdawn- the hole is in the shape of a shovel.. which makes the object inside not only in a hole.. but in a shovel.. i dunno if that was intentional.. but i like it.

I voted for Alucard because it seems that the cry of the subject is the light that springs from darkness.
