some nice colours in those shots

as for some crits, don't really like the 3rd pic, focus seems a bit soft, same with the first of the yellow flower

the fourth one bothers me but I can't put my finger on it, think it might be the composition

also think the second to last could do with a tighter crop

I like the second photo a lot - nice composition and the green looks really fresh, makes a good contrast to the b/w leaves.

For the first time in a long time i'm inspired again. Thank you.

I love the first two - the style of them is just excellent. What camera/lens are you using?

The first one suffers a bit from the blade of grass going out of the frame on the right, its distracting. The second has some similar problems, but not as apparent/bothersome.

The third and fifth picture are soft on the focus, and arent as appealing in composition as the first two.

Overall i really like the first two and last one. I'd love to see more.

First off thank you so much for your responses, its weird getting actual feedback, but definitely more helpful than I thought it would be.

Grumble - Thanks about the color, I always seem to have this want to make my pictures very harsh and extreme in color but I tried to keep things more normal in these.

I see your point about the focus, and as I look at it closer it makes me dislike the flower one lol but I kinda like the leaves looking soft, almost like human hair.

Yeah, the fourth one is kinda boring, I definitely agree with you here lol.

carolupus - I think its my favorite of these =p

ShadeOfDawn - I'm glad my pictures helped inspire you. My hope is that I can do something wonderful with my images that inspires others to see the world in a different light and see that there is good out there in the world and there is something worth fixing this place up for. Or well... lol I tried to keep that short... anyway!!!

I'm just using the Canon Digital Rebel XTi with the kit lens, got it for about $890 last September, it was my first semi-serious camera and its been such a blast!

Cropping is definitely need more work in, I always have this need to not allow pictures to look to square and I think it hurts more than it helps sometimes. I'll have to keep this in mind when I do my next batch.

Oh my goodness were the flowers a pain to shoot, they were growing right next to the river that runs through the park(Brainerd's Bridge in Waupaca) and with how high the water had gotten after the snow melted so the ground near the edges of the river were especially soft and made standing still and getting close to the ground next to impossible. I think I went back 5-6 more times or more and just got fed up, maybe what I really need is a bit more patience! ;;;>_>

I'll have to get a few more up tonight or tomorow then I suppose!

The grain I got in the background on the last one really annoys me, any idea on how I could go about being more careful in taking the photo or some such to fix it or make it less annoying?

Thanks again!
