Blue Heron

Thought it was about time I posted another of my pics. I've been a bit slack recently, not just with photography!

I took this with my 70-200 f4 IS lens, its come out nice and sharp, so glad I bought this. Again it is from Costa Rica, just off the shore in the Carribean sea, managed to grab one as he is getting a bite to eat. Tried to get in a bit closer but it flew off, tricky things birds ;]

oh, that's a great one!
Great moment, perfect focus, nice colors... I really like the rock in the foreground, too.
And a nice lens you've got, I envy you

You really caught him in action, very nice
I'm not sure I like the crop better, the space around the bird with the rocks adds more to the photo.

I like the original one better too. If any cropping took place, I would say to crop a bit from the bottom. Very nice and sharp as well. Hmm, maybe a bit more play with contrast? I'm thinking some of your shadows and mid-tones could be a little darker.

I like the shot with the rocks feels more cool. the way its holding the fish what make me like it.
