Adobe light room or apreture

I'm not a real software buff but I've been hearing great reviews on both these programs the question is which is better?
I downloaded a trial version of light room and my god it's amazing! the thing even turns my in cam b&w into color!!! how?!! I'm planning on buying it as soon as I get my school refund

I haven't used aperture extensively, but lightroom in conjunction with photoshop CS is a very very nice combination. Thoroughly recommend it!

I second lightroom, I use it too!

Shouldn't this thread go in the photoshop and software forum? ;]

I would recommend Lightroom as well. The organizational tools it has are simply worth the whole price... and it's cheaper then Aperture.

100% Lightroom. I still feel giddy thinking about how great Lightroom is and I thank my lucky stars it finally exists!

Aperture 2 just came out, apparently it's much better than Lightroom now.

Is Lightroom really much of a improvement over the Bridge + Camera RAW combo I grown to love?
