Byron is Burning.
My roommates and I are all in to photography and some nights we all go out and shoot together. One night we had decided to rent some gear and go photograph an ole abandoned hotel that was once a location for movie stars, an interrogation during WWII, and a place to hospitalize people from a nearby train wreckage. As time went on the place would soon decay and the importance of the location would be forgotten but not by those who come to vandalize the place with graffiti, boredom, and paint-balling. It was a windy and cold night and the guys had decided it wasn't a good idea to go but me being me, we came all the way out, rented gear that had to be returned the following day and I wasn't going to go home that easily. Only a few minuets later one of my roommates had pointed out some thick black smoke over the hill and as soon as it was spotted we called 911 because I knew someone had set fire to the place. The lady on the other end wasn't so bright about it and more frustrating than helpful. Eventually she got it right of what we were talking about. We drove past the hotel to see if it was burning and it was. There was another car stopped along the gate/road that was also watching the fire. As the fire truck approached we took a jump and decided to follow behind them making sure we kept our distance. Then we ran towards the fire getting as many shots as possible.

I like #2 the best, the tones and compositon are what does it for me. Cool image.
