Electric Chairs and Smokey Silverware (Product Photography)

I've been attending photo evening classes for a while, and as homework we often have to take photos of stuff we would normally never touch. One thing's product photograpy.

Here are some of my attempts.

Fork:

My setup:

Those forks are fantastic. I find myself coming back and looking at them for I just love the effect. Also, the two chairs in front of the TV are fantastic, I'm sure many of us feel that way in front of one, haha. Really fantastic shots I love them all!

Its always cool to see people's lighting set ups, specially with things like taking pictures of smoke. Seen a couple of different ways to achieve this.

The last burning fork one imho works the best.

Also the first of the chairs works the best too. The second one is a touch over the top. Need to consider the leading lines and the focal point on the photo, the second its a bit confusing on the eye.

How did you achieve that first one? Looks like a long exposure with a lit sparkler being waved along the lines of the chairs from behind?

Love the last one with the chairs and the TV. Has a great story behind it.

The people were sucked in by the evil television.
