These Are Portraits!

I've just recently started getting into doing portraits of people, some of these pictures are old and some are newer! Hooray!

1. Simon, acting all serious.

2. Tanne, when we went kite flying!

3. Tanne, when she was guitaring it up at her house.

4. Eva, before college!

4. It's like negative space, but it's not! Oooh! Quick, get Gab in here, I bet we can make his head explode.

3. and 7. are just fantastic, especially 3. I agree with Morbid on this one, retro.

What i do love about all of them is the candid feel and tipica grain brought in by the film.

Yay! I feel happy. Thank you all for the wonderful praise!

Gab: I'm using what I believe to be Fuji 400 film. Just basic stuff, ya know?

pictures 1,3,and 4 are my favorite pictures in this whole portraits section. and you shot them all! lol. i like them because they are very personal, and the subjects are all wonderful. i feel like I wish i knew them. #4 is my favorite i think. she looks so uncomfortable and insecure, and the shadow that shes casting on the wall makes that big gap to the left of her really interesting. keeps your eyes moving. great shot! love it.

i love the expressions of the portraits, thought he one of tanna flying the kite is off a bit to me. i either want to see part of her break the horizon line..on the other hand, her being below it looks kinda neat as well, kind of a contained feeling. maybe a closer crop.? not necessarily getting rid of all the 'negative space' but some of it. Love the work though!
