Disruptions Beginner Experiments

Im new to photography and i dont have any form of photoshop and im using a Canon Powershot S5-IS, im hoping to get a SLR sometime in the near future.....and note, some of these are abstract.......please critique.........

i dont really know how i got this shot

I like the last one, though the others kinda scream accident at me and not though they were done by design.

those two look less accidental than the ones in the first post, some more thought to the rest of the scene should polish them up into nice photos

Nice start! I definitely love the black and white photos more. The light plays are cool and I've done a few myself including writing my name with a flashlight with a long exposure. Incidentally I use the same camera as you do. How do you like it? I just got mine. Nice work, keep on posting!

actually, your eye for compositions is very promising. The black and whites I like very much. My suggestion would be: less experiments and focus on trying to get very simple subjects done correctly (where "correctly" means: the result should look like the image you had in mind while pressing the shutter)

Really like the texture on the wood. Would maybe work on the contrast a bit more?
