Nice colors in #1. Could use a bit more play in cropping though. Maybe a square format? #5 could use a square format as well.
#2 is very nice. I love the tones and textures. Same thing goes for #3. ![]() I think #4 would work better if it had a different angle though. The background is a bit distracting in #7, but it's a sweet photo. A lot of life in that statue. ![]()

Some nicely taken shots, though I agree with rose that the playing with the cropping on a few might improve them.
I also assume you have done some manipulation on some of them? The playing cards in 8 for example? What went on there? and what the hell is 9? |

Yeah... 9 is a piece of art/sculpture at the local college where I take piano lessons. Since it was at night, and with the white balance I used, the metal ended up looking blue but the background was dark since it was nighttime...
As far as manipulation/editing goes, really most of the editing stuff I did (for this set at least) were on the mannequin pictures. All I did to number 8 was desaturated a bit... other than that, it was the 2 red 8's leaned against each other cardhouse style on a mirror, and then a light opposite the camera looking down at the mirror sort of. (the cards came from a black deck of cards so that explains that...) 10 was desaturated as well 12 was a set up where I had a piece of plastic mesh hanging by thread from the four corners, with the mannequin on it... and then a pot of water boiling under the plastic mesh for the steam effect. So then I took 2 pictures from that set and just layered one on top of the other using an HDR generator actually for 13, I had very little light, and a 30 second shutter speed. So then I had the two mannequins set up in their respective positions, opened the shutter, and then about 15 seconds into the exposure switched them around. Then in PS I changed it to b&w, then made it into a negative, and added a blue tint. the only thing I did for 15 was duplicate, flip, and line it up |
