very nice! can i ask what effects you used to make her skin look like that? its something Ive really been trying to learn for my portraits.

I love the pose, and how well you captured the smoke. Though i think it could benefit from a touch more light in the eyes.

Hi Valadilene, thanks for the compliment, i actually did nothing in post production to the skin. this picture was taken with a medium format film camera (mamiya). the negative was then scanned in, maybe that's why the skin looks the way it does (i've noticed skin color and texture looks better when it's scanned in from medium format negatives).

Here is another one entitled "Dark Deb". This one will be printed in Advanced Photoshop (a UK magazine) in March.

Those Eyes in "Dame to die for"!!, man! U really got the in focus and the dame wears a red dress, does the pictures title even better hehe

On the last pic, u might have darkened the area aroun the bottom edges and faded it further in to the the model, just to bring her more into the picture. Given it a little bit darker look But i like how her face looks, dark on the right side making the it invisable.

nice work though! Keep'em coming

The first picture is spectacular. Im not as into the crazy facial expressions myself but still good comps and exposures on the rest except the last one. The pose seems really off to me. the hands look forced and the right shoulder is too pressed into her chest, making the flesh and chest distort in a not so lovely manner. I dont know what would fix the pic without changing the pose somehow.

Anyway aside from that and i hope it wasnt too harsh; you have amazing skill in the studio!

Thanks for the critiques guys, you gave me some good ideas on where to take the last one. EvrEst, all critiques are good dude. I am planning some new shoots in the summer (It's tough to do this with a full time position and family!)

In the meantime, here is one that's called "Lady Sings The Blues". Cropped close on purpose.

Dude, FANTASTIC! I love the style, color choice, posing, props. everything.

Im blown away by this one. it really brings that classic night club, movie start/girl next door (in the 40s) look.

Quite nice

I like colours and light in your photo Sophisticated. Lower part of dress could have little bit more details as it looks somewhat too saturated/flat Almost like painting, nice to see that people like you handle light nicely.

I'm not sure about your other photos posted. You have skill to light person but for some reason those other photos don't quite ring the bell. Maybe it's concept of the photos that might need some improvements or something like that…
