Maybe time to look into some kind of captcha system for new members to help stop this a bit?

can you pass that on to nike? I dont know what a captcha system is but we need more protection. Nike said she seems to be the only one active and at the moment its hard for her to be on alot so we may have to bear through. I still want to moderate though because the job i have gives me unlimited access to the internet and I can catch them really fast.

As a mod I don't have the opportunity to add something to the system... there were several requests for an update to a higher version of php, but since this boards are to be updated to a new system, nothing happened. I've deleted spam message and banned around 3 spambots a day during the past months, so the problem never became that obvious, now I've been away for a week and obviously noone else was here in the begining. I didn't know that I wouldn't have internet access where I was working, next time I'll let you and other mods/admins know before I'm leaving.

Well, I'll be absent again from Monday to Thursday, but then I'll be able to check the site regularily again like in the past months.

Jason just let me know that he is updating the forums which will solve a lot of the spam problems. Also, mods will be added.
