Slik 700DX Tripod

Just ordered a Slik 700DX tripod and Vanguard SBH-300 ball head. Getting them from Adorama, (shipping to a colleagues house in the states to pick up), so I won't have for a couple of weeks. Though I am exited as hell about getting this thing set up!!

I have read nothing but good reviews for the tripod and was wondering if anyone here has anything to say about it, or any experience with this one? My first ever tripod, so not sure what to expect. Though the price was over 50% less than buying it from local distributors.

Well, I received the tripod and head, and I have to say, it is arock solid assembly.

Set the camera up on it and took some test shots in the house, as it was raining outside.

I would very highly recommend this tripod and head to anyone, even after only using it very briefly. Now, time to get my arse outside and take some shots!
