Urban Exploring

Are there any peepz out here that like to do urbexing?

I'm just crazy about those old abandoned houses, hospitals, militair depot's, heavy industries..... I just love it.

I'm doing some research at an abandoned psychiatric hospital, and i'm making plans to explore it next saturday..

Here is an link that show's allot of urbex pix.
http://p.chiparus.net/gallery/

Maybe some peepz out here can show some of there urbex pix...

Today i went to check out this psychiatric hospital that has been abandoned for more then 10 years.

I only was there to find out the exact location, checking out the security and looking for a good place to enter this building.

Saturday i will go again with an friend of my, and explore it from the inside.

This is me in front of the building (crapy cellphone pic)

Yes i did, but this is the most neat and clean site from al the wings that this building has...

All windows are broken, and in the inside there is an awfull lot off graffiti and things destroyed by the youth..

But i've seen allot of pix from others that have been there, and the building still should have some nice places..

Well i will see it on saturday...

what an interesting place! that first shot really sets the mood, love the tilt.
the bathtub.... so wierd with the duck-stickers....
the strange nr 12 that leads to the door seald with bricks(?)
and that last shot have great colors and light, love it!
and i love the light in the nr 4, nr9 and nr12.

if you are going back, try play even more with angles and compositions and all the awesome textures.
like the ceiling in nr 16! it looks so interesting to me i would probably used a memorycard on that alone = )
i really want to see what you can come up with next!

This was fun to look at, thank you! now i need to find some abandoned buildings!

Hey rattus,

Thnx for the compliments

This place is sooooooo coooool, it's give's you the creeps when you get in there. Ceiling's that are coming down, and there are many holes in the floor so it's not without any risk entering this building.

Because the place is all sealed up, all the broken windows are replaced by wooden panels and all the doors to some off the doors are even sealed with bricks. So there is hardly light in there and that create's an weird kind of mood if you realise that they have done shock therapy and that kind of things to those patient's it will freak you out.....

Anyway here is an another set from this abandoned psychiatric hospital...

1. the blue are striking. welcome to the mansion, sweet home...
2. cool light and that ceiling are crazy! dogs are comming...
5. looking for ink-ribbons.... hard to spot in this lovely mess...
6. love the compo, centerplacement can be really nice... Red herbs outside that window...
13. this is my favourite! the light and darkness are phenomenal here... what a mood! very resident evil.
(it really reminds me of a place in resident evil 1,
i can hear the zombies-moan and the melancholic scary music just looking at this shot)
the blue stripes of light and shadows on the floor,
the way this picture are divided in two...
you dont want to go down to the right......
i can see three zombiefingers on the handrail there!!

Hey Rattus,

The AtmosFear in this building is just perfect ( been there again yesterday just love this place. ) When you walk inside, you can easily picture yourself in one of those horror-games/movies where it's always going terribly wrong..

Picture nr 13 is also my favorite! The three "zombiefingers" whahaa

I wonder if capcom would do anything with that kind of things...

Next set of picture's is coming up soon...

Grtz,

Frutsel

Great work in 8, 17, & 52.

I like 18 & 51, but they look a bit tilted to me.

54 looks like it has loads of potential. Should play around with toning (B/W?) and cropping.
