Barbaari and his photos

Hello folks,

My first post here and I hope I could get some critics of my photos I've been taking recently.

Here we go:

1.

2.

3. Same as 2. but B&W
(Deleted)

4.

5. This was the last picture of the day. I little different than the others The cruise ship they are building is Oasis of the Seas...
(Deleted)

I hope you like them! I almost had to run my self exhausted to get these photos because during winter the sunlight is very limited here and after workday there's only couple of hours sunlight before dark

Thank you Grumbledook!

Yes I have tripod, but if I want some sunlight in my photos then I need to be fast

But how about the pictures? I need your honest opinion of them.

Beautiful photos - I love the colors and the composition exspecially in the first two! I don't know if the b/w couldn't be improved a bit while converting, it's really nice, but to me it doesn't carry that much atmosphere as the color version. Mybe the contrast could be a bit stronger, too.

Good work, I'm looking forwards to seeing more!

the first one is the best, the colours are great

second one is a bit dull but the composition is good and you put something in the foreground, which is something often overlooked

the B&W doesn't really do much for me, not enough contrast

the last one is missing the foreground interest

#2 & 3 are nice. Composition wise, try not to cut off your foreground subject. Also, the contrast could be improved in both versions, this would make #3 the best (IMO) and push the mood in it more.

Thank you. I really appreciate your comments I've tried to adjust the contrast in 2 & 3 but it easily gets too dark or too light on some areas... And I'm not master with photoshop anyway...

It was wet and dark day... So I went out with my camera.

This was best I could do. I personally kind of like it though

Love the last two. I really like the composition in 6... the reflection in the water adds a lot. And beautiful colors in 7.

By seeing the snow border in the background, we think the photo is tilted. But, I don't know the place, perhaps that's a slope.
This is emphasized by the fact the shot is tight, so we can't have an better idea of the place.
But, if you say it's okay, you should have right.
Anyway, it's a pretty nice photo.

The last one is great, too. Colors and tones are really sweet. Well done!

There's a small road where snow border is and if I remember correct there is a little slope, but it's very possible that the photo is little bit tilted. That's very common flaw in my photos.

Anyway I appreciate yout comments.. thank you Roll on Moon

great rocks on the beach photos! I love the sunset/dusk photos you take.. the other ones have a lack.. either too blue or something.. I dont know.. if you have so much chance to work with ice and light; I would so some major experiments because ice can be living light. Good hunting!

Thanks everyone

EvrEst, You don't know how much I wait for winter to come, travel north and to make those experiments with light, snow and ice =) I just hope there will be good winter, lots of snow and beautiful untouched snowy wilderness.

I absolutely love #5. The sky and colors are dramatic and very calm.

#3 has a nice foreground presence, but I keep wanting to see a bit more water on the left. The rocks make the right side feel very heavy to me.

Also, I think #2 would have a lot more impact if the sun was off-centered.

Keep posting!
