Trees in B&W

My first post . Critique me! I'm trying to gather a college portfolio for next year, and I'm hoping to absorb a wealth of knowledge from this forum. Also, I had some trouble uploading these pictures. I had to do some cropping and lower the quality of them, so take that in to consideration.

I like the silhouette in the second one. Make sure you watch out for noise in your digital photos, caused mainly by underexposure.

What do you shoot with? I've found the best way to learn is to shoot as much as possible. The good thing about digital is you can literally shoot hundreds of shots a day at little/no cost.

I like the tree shot. Sort of made me feel upside down. Looks like it could've been a great color shot as well.
