Moon Tree

Shot this last sunday while on a fishing trip.

In hindsight, I should've gone with smaller aperture, like f16 or something, but I reckon it works well regardless.

Do you?

BTW, it's a daylight shot even though it has the appearance of a night shot.

heh,

I wasn't sure what to make of it on first appearance

I think perhaps the fact the moon is in the centre might be the old classic of putting things in the middle composition that now stands out

I think rotating it 90 degrees and cropping it do the moon is more to the left side of the frame, whilst removing the larger areas of negative space, may make it a better

could try using a flash as well for daytime shots to make the sky darker

Thanks

I did think about the centred composition, but somehow thought that this shot could pull it off in all its simplicity.

I have a couple of alternate compositions I might try to work with a bit. Rotation and crop seems like a plan.

Subject is in hard sun about 15m away, so flash was not really an option.

I'll post some more shots from the same morning when I have processed them.
