I think they're great shots! Interesting looking friends/people you have there. There's a real natural depth to these, especially the first three. I totally dig.

What gear are you using?. Feel free to get specific.
Do you do any post processing.. if so what progs?.

Hey Lukias, thanks for taking the time to comment.

I use a normal cannon 35mm rebel film camera i got when i graduated high school seven years ago :P

I always shoot on prime lens's. And just keep to the cannon 50mm 1.8, though for the asian girl triptych i used a 100 2.0 i think.

I used to exclusively shoot fuji superia reala, but recently switched to Kodak Portra for color. (these colors are all portra) 200 and 400iso. (though i barely notice a difference in grain, so i'll probably just stick with the 400 from here on out)

the black and white is always tri-x

i also shoot with an old sx-70 polaroid and a polaroids on my large format 50's press camera, but none of these photos reflect that.

I do heavy post processing on all my photos. I scan at 16bit for b/w and 48bit for color so i can torcher the hell out of the pixels. My post processing philosophy though is to make the photo look untouched, but if you compare the before and after the difference is pretty drastic.

For all my post work i use ps cs3. There are times where shake would speed things up a bit, but i love the ps interface too much to go anywhere else.

If you want to see my other photos here is my flickr stream:

or if you want to see the series's that most of these photos were culled from:
