Double Image

Hello, this will be my first post. Forgive me if I step on anyone's toes. I would just like some honest critique on how to make my artwork better. So go and do your worst. I just ask that if you don't like a aspect of my photos that you explain why. Thank you.

Both photos were hand developed and taken with 35mm black and white film.

First off, props for going with darkroom printing.

As for your actual work, I like the concept you have with your first one. I think that the choppy style works for that particular image, especially with the way that you have the subject in the photo.

The second one, I would rethink a bit. Mirroring is good, but I think that this could use a bit more cohesion. Matching tones in the foreground might help this a bit.

How is a Ginkgo at all related to my art work?!
