interesting photo, though I do wonder what the focus of the shot should be

were you aiming for it to be the bike or the shadow, or both?

the bike is rather confusing from this view of it, I think perhaps that making the shadow the focal point and getting in a bit closer and lower to the back wheel might make it easier on the eye?

did you just take the one shot and angle? I like to try and move about, both myself and the composition. This will leave you with the dilema of picking which one you like best though ;]

I like how the shadow of the bike melts into the shadow of the street. And I also agree with Grumble. Were there other perspectives?

A different angle would probably be more interesting, but I like the mood of this one. Wish the top of the bike wasn't cut off though. Could be a bit sharper? Nice control of the light though. :)

I had the top but it was SO blurry for some reason it looked terrible. It looks better cut off. I should have tried a few different angles though.
Haha. This is what happens when you're running and not thinking.

#3 is a nice abstract. Should trisect it by adding 2 vertical black lines to make an awesome triptych.

Woah unknown vocabulary! Care to explain triptych?

5 Hachiko. This is a statue of a famous dog. He's supposed to be like...the ultimate image of "man's best friend". This old man fed him every day (he was a stray) and on day the old man died but the dog waited for him and eventually starved to death waiting.

Hmmm, guitar partially covered by some sort of cloth?

Gentile

Just a guitar haha. There's a setting on my camera that seems to only capture like...blowouts in pictures. Funky hu?

Yeah, you should try experimenting with it one day. :)

Some really cool still life's, I think my favorite is the first photo of the bike, but I also really like the photo of the fabric... the one right after Spongebob. Great stuff =)

nr 8. is a great capture of movement of what I believe are pages, I like the dof and the colors.
A minor point of critism: It's a quite small crop, the edges of the pages are cut off, a bigger crop would do better I think.

Gentile

It's not papers ;] but thanks! Haha.
Ya this is how I cropped it when I took the picture...I should have done better with it.

Feeling inspired :D

These were taken with a Canon Kiss that I borrowed from the school.

Nice update.

I like the composition in #10. Could play around with the contrast a bit and try B/W.

#11 is really nice as well. I like the tones. The left image is strong enough be by itself, I think.

I like how the background reflects in the cube and really nice colors. I would crop the left part with the cable.

Thanks guys! :D I've finally learned how to manually adjust the shutter speed on my camera so I'm taking hardcore advantage of it haha.

Your safety pins aren't completely sharp, a bigger dof would be better.
I like the second one most, great composition of lines.

I was actually going for the not all sharp :P
