I'm new to the site, and I must say the level of talent here is both amazing and intimidating. My experience with a camera is very limited, I've never taken a photography course beyond reading the manual that came with my camera. I'm open to any and all criticism and I appreciate those that take the time to help me improve. (I don't speak Camera D: I barely know what the buttons do, so explanations may be required)

These are some flowers around my house. (and an ant)

Welcome to the phorums! :)

I really like the capture of light in the second one.

For starting advice, just keep working on your compositions and sharpness. In your spare time, go browsing online by reading up on some photo lingo as well as just looking at the photos here and on other sites. Keep shooting and posting. :)
