Really nice capture of he dog. :) Not your typical dog shot.

As for the jellyfish, I've found it easier to autofocus on one jelly fish (or a group if they are clustering) and slowly follow them while they move to get the best composition possible. the autofocusing helps keep your focus while allowing you to concentrate more on composition. Hope this helps. :)

I tried that but the tank was moving them pretty fast...
The toughest part was that I couldn't find a shooting mode that would let me take the shots in auto focus. It just wouldn't click off a shot in low light like this, but in manual focus it would... what am I missing here?

Hmm, did you increase your ISO and exposure compensation settings?

exposure yes, but not ISO..doh!

i'll try that next time...i need to find time to really get to know the ins and outs.
