I've never been great at doing portraits or self-portraits but I figured the more I keep doing it. Some where along the lines I will see a change and progress in performance. Any feedback would be helpful, thanks for checking out the works!

#1 (my first human HDR portrait)

#2 (my second attempt at a human HDR portrait) I took this in an abandoned church in a WWII barracks.

#3 (HDR attempt 3) I did this one incorrectly but I thought the landscaping and clothing looked neat-o. Except for the over exposed lighting near the trees of course. I tried to re-adjust for that but couldn't keep the rest looking "neat-o".

#4 "Under the light of the Sunfish" Shot this one in Monterey of course =) This was in that giant dark tank room. Personally that fish is ugly close up, it has a creeeeeepy eye.

My boyfirend and I are both photographers, and he's always enjoyed urban exploring. As a kid so did I, but as I got older I got out of exploring because to many problems came up and nobody really wanted to come with. But, ever since we started dated I've been able to see some amazing places and we plan on making trips to different states and countries just to find amazing forgotten places. Today, we went to an abandoned jail and I wasn't able to get as many shots as I liked to but we had to split or face getting caught.

I know these other two aren't portraits but I figured you posted out there would like to see what else I got. I'll hopefully be making a trip again within the month and have a re-shoot with fashion and just regular landscape.

I like #6 and #10 the best. On #10 i would take all the fill light out for the most part to give the lamp a better focal point and warm the lighting for the male figure. Great job on the rest though and I would only say that some need a little composition work to create the best possilbe story, focal point.
