I was a bit confused when I read the topic. So, I drew a blank when thinking about possibilities. I voted for Nike because the photo illustrates the topic really well and clears up my confusion. :)

I voted for daedicurus, because I liked the idea and comic style approach a lot.
thefutile - very nice light in yours. I just couldn't connect so well to the topic in contrast to daediurus entry.
namic - I think the idea is great :) - the technical execution could have been better - more interesting light (the flash is very obvious here), and maybe some movement-unsharpness could have made this really great.
carolupus - my second pick - I like the letters a lot. Nice approach :) On my monitor, the gear is melting a bit too much into the background, which makes it a bit hard to make out what's going on.
Thanks for the votes everyone! I was actually a bit surprised my approach seemed to work for so many - I had a hard time thinking about this topic, too, and trashed several other approaches, because I always felt a need to explain the photo.

if i'm not mistaken, Namic and i seem to have used the same model for both our entries... despite living in different countries...
am i wrong namic?
