downsizing images

I am new to computers so please bear with me on this. I have already posted a few photos and they are too large. Exactly how do I make them smaller. What size do they have to be to not have to scroll to view them? Kraut2

I'm not sure if you use a PC or Mac, but I'm a Mac user and I use iResize. Don't know how much further advice I can give you, but if you use a PC there's a million free programs that can do it. Just Google something like "free image resize" =)
