Hey all,
I've recently began shooting a new series of shots, focusing on the broad theme of 'surreal portraiture'. Well, I say began, but much of my recent work, especially the gas masks, fall under the same category ;)
Anyway, here is the first shot in the series. I must admit the shoot itself wasn't particularly successfull. My photography lecturer wasn't there to advise me, my model was late (not his fault, he was having his driving test which he passed ;)) So I had rely on the advice of the technician. That being absolutely nothing, except him saying 'hurry up, I want to go home'. He didn't even tell me where the all the lights were stored so I had to make do with what was there.
Well anyway, I thought all was lost on the way home. Then I decided to play around with one of the shots in Photoshop, and i'm surprised that it isn't so bad after all. Things could have been a lot better organised for the shoot itself, but the results arn't as bad as I thought ;)
This was, I think, one of the last photos from the shoot. I think it would be better if the hand was in shot, and yes, before you say it, the nose does look like it has been stuck on in Photoshop. It actually hasn't, it's one of those clown noses you can buy, but i'm not sure how to make it look more authentic! Advice?
