My friend and I go on random roadtrips and these are some of the pictures of the scenery =)

oh and I use a Nikon D70 for those who are curious.

EDIT: I added more photo's, from a different series, but i didnt want to crowd the thread list, so I just added it to this.

Okay, so these next 2 photos are from a series I call "Explore the Other Side". The second picture is actually flipped around, I favor it that way because it just makes it seem so surreal. There are some minor issues with the photos, but I'm satisfied with them. Critiques and comments are most welcome :)

Beautiful colors. I love these pictures - all of them. :)

What kind of trees are that? They look very nice.

MLlanes: Thanks =) Which pictures turned out dark? They look fine on my monitor, maybe it just has to do with the brightness/contrast of the screens we're using? and thanks for the welcome! :)

Nike: Thanks for the compliments! Glad you like them and I'm not sure what type of trees those are, some sort of pine trees I think! It'd be interesting if I could get someone to identify them :)

They look great on my monitor. :)

I really like the tones you're getting

My only crit would be to try not to shoot in the sun, it sometimes produces unattractive lens flares.

i really like the first one...road leading to nowhere leaves the mind wondering. but there is a slight glare...nice work on these

Purplerose: Thanks for the comment, and yeah, lens flare sucks. I didn't even notice it until I got home and had uploaded the pics to my laptop. I should pay more attention when I'm taking pics. lol.

Alicat08: Thanks, yeah, I like how the road just seems to go nowhere, with these random trees out in the middle of no mans land. That spot is a favorite location of mine, I visited it again when there was snow and I have an exact picture of this, but with the snow. Probably post it soon :P

this is the one im talking about.
its not dark as in poor lighting conditions, i just think the contrast is off a bit.

i really like the new ones, with the reflections (you should post them after the other feedback though so we know what's new... i almost missed them). and i will admit that for a second i was trying to figure out what the black lumps floating in the sky were... very effective

MLlanes: Yeah, I know what you mean, I did have some difficulty with the contrast of that photo because of the sun, I'm going to re-visit the RAW file and see if I can make it any better =)

daedicurus: Thanks a lot and thanks for the advice, I've reposted them below =) I'm glad you liked the new pictures and I'm glad to hear that they confused you a little, that was the point :D

They are absolutely surrealistic, well done.
In the second photo those two black clouds (or whatever it is) in the right, attract the attention too much from the real subject.

love those last two, especially the first. it normally bothers me if the horizon isn't really horizontal. not in this case though, but maybe you could try it anyway, just to see what it looks like?
why did you rotate the second one?
