Ill be placing some of my shots here and critiques are highly appreciated, Ill start out with some old stuff wich I still have to recieve some serious feedback on.
I'm not an photography student yet but I have ambitions for a course of photography at an artschool in Utrecht in The Netherlands.
I'm sorry If my english Is a bit off sometimes.
I have recieved some good feedback yet and you all seem like nice people so I'm looking forward to sharing my stuff :)
First up are some pretty old shots I made in the studio at school, some of them were made for a project and others just for fun.
I'm expirementing with colours alot these days, especially worn and grainy effects; I tried to mimic the style used in the motion picture Death Proof wich used a bleach bypassed effect with a fair amount of grain, I turned the grain down a notch myself.

well ur off to a good start. like no overexposures, consistent with colors.
well u got some dead negative space that u might wanna crop.
i think u might need a subject matter,
and for death proofish style. you can push it more, the grain looks like regular grain and same goes for the colors and contrast.
its ok im not a photography student either , just have a open mind and ability to learn quick.

Nice work with the colors and exposure. Try to play around more with different poses and compositions.

@purplerose
Indeed, I think the compositions are not really that exciting and they are all taken from the front and with generally standard point's of view, the studio will be open this week so ill give it a shot then!
@urkanoff
I think that the blank space does the pictures some good but thats my opinion, its true that the space kinda leads you away from the subject.
I do need more exciting subject matter with funky clothing or something but it's a bit hard to fin decent models around school.
I edited this one a bit see if you think it's improved ; 3
I added some more blur around the hands some more overall grain ( I took it from an imaged and then overlayed it ) I also cropped it, levelled it and used some more HS filter.

I cropped and edited this one and I'm pleased with the outcome!

Some new pictures
Im planning an experimental photoshop featuring a model dressed up as a Post Nuclear Desert Warrior like character, inspired from the game fallout.
These are some shots for the cover and design of the album im about to shoot for this project:
( these pictured are inspired by a lonely night, Rob Sheridan and a instrumental piano song from Nine Inch Nails )

This is an idea for a series of photo's based on the fact that we meet hundreds of people everyday but that we still feel alone many times and that it sometimes feels like we are living in a bubble.
It's an unpleasent feeling, like noone cares about the people around them or are just scared to make contact.

Those last ones are really good, i like them.
Gives you a whole new perspective on a scene if you look at it from ground level, nicely done (:
also i think that the later edited versions of the first batch wrk alot better, good editing, (:

Great job on the latest update. :)
Dunno how I missed the "Dust" updates, but the cover image is very well done.

I think the spambot is right on this time...
...>_<
Anyway, I love all your pictures, seriously! I'm with venom, the crops work even better than the originals. I'm really curious about how you get those colours... could you maybe even post a step by step on what you did to achieve that look/feel? And what kind of camera do you use?
