I was recently reading about the advantage of using large format cameras as seen in this great article - http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/100mp.htm
Basically, I need to take insanely high resolution photographs that I can work back into in photoshop, to allow for gigantic wall sized prints at as high a print quality as possible.

The idea of taking a traditional photo with a large format camera, getting the negative developed, scanning it into a computer at maximum resolution, it all seems like a great way to bypass the lower resolution limitations of most digital cameras. I understand large format digital cameras are available but I don't have the 10 - 20 grand to drop on equipment like that. But I can scrape together the 1 - 2 grand for the lower tech equipment to do something like this.

I'm curious if anyone has experience with using large format cameras and scanning the work into a digital format? Thanks for any feedback!

I've used large formats before (at school). As long as you have the right scanning equipment to scan the large negatives, you should be alright.

Hopefully more experienced members will speak up. If not, Google may be your best friend. :)
