I like the atmosphere in "Enoshima" Not sure what kind of camera you have, but watch out for the noise.

"Calm" has a nice angle, but I think it would be stronger if the left red post was in the frame as well.

I use the Nikon D80.
I really wanted to opt for the D200, but its been 4 years since i touched a real camera thanks to business school. Its really cool what you can do with digital cameras and im still learning, so yeah cheaper camera for now.

Will def keep the noise in mind and experiment more with ISO and shutter speed at night.

as for the pillar. mm... yeah your probably right. I dont know why, but it just wasnt in my vision when i took that particular shot.

The sky in Daibutsu-sama is surreal. Great angle there.

Count me in for Daibutsu-sama. From a theoretic standpoint, it screams for more wideangle
on the lower part to see more of the people, but on the other hand, it has a very impressing composition!
Great feeling of mass on the statue.

Calm is also very nice, the format works better than I first thought looking at it.

It's a pity that yours night shots are so noisy because they're cool.
What ISO did you use?
If you get a tripod, I advise you to use a long shutter speed, using ISO 100 or 200 according to your camera, you could have the same result without noise ;).

Thanks for the C&Cs all. I will keep everyones suggestion in mind.

For Glow and Facades I used an ISO of 400.
It was really cold, I didnt think I could keep my hands steady enough for an ISO of 100/200 so I went with higher ISO and slightly faster shutter speed.

To be frank I am actually still looking for a decent Tripod that is both durable and portable. As of yet, I havent found one I can be happy with.

As for Daibutsu-sama, I refrained from touching the raw.
Aside from converting it from .NEF to jpeg that is.
Call me crazy, but I felt editing or fixing the picture was "wrong".
"spritual feel" i guess? no idea... i just couldnt bring myself to do anything to it x.X

How about a Manfrotto 718B digi tripod (http://www.manfrotto.com/Jahia/site/manfrotto/pid/2051/lang/en)? It's cheap, practical, compact, strong, and so on.

I agree with the red fence post from purplerose and the one above, i think the tracks may end too center comp to have enough mood. not really crits just style. great images love the first one and the fourth one!
