Update on my character design. I first need to finish the shading, after that comes colouring, texturing, background, etc
All comments are VERY much apriciated, thank you
This one is coming along really nicely. You really have a great imagination.
Still think that thumb on the right (from us) need some work. Would also prefer a slightly bigger canvas, leaving space around the entire character. Have you decided upon the light source? Seems the upper left part of the torso is a bit dark considering it should be exposed to more light as it is further towards the viewer and that the "hoses" surronding the chest all have a lighter value. May be that you just haven't gotten to shading these parts though.
Looking forward to seeing the next WiP of this one. Btw, you don't have to answer the PM, I've realized my noob-ish mistake and will delete any "double-posted" images. My apologies. :-)

The main light source will be from top right on the drawing, and a small one in the left bottom corner. I will probably make the canvas bigger when Im gonna start the background. And about the hands, if you look closely their just roughly sketch at the moment, Ill work on them soon.
Great progress. Lighting feels much more realistic now and the widened canvas puts more focus on the character. This one is coming along nicely. Will be exciting to see what background you have in mind. Impressive. :-)
Hey man, where's the new version?
I really like the how the details are coming along. Not exactly sure what your intentions for this piece are, but I'd like to see a stronger sense of light source/direction. Right now it looks like there's strong light coming from the top, and soft from the bottom, but not all of it even agrees with that. I would say to pick a direction or two and really lock it in. If, of course, you haven't already done that in this new version that's supposed to be up.

Ah, beginning of a setting for the char. Exciting. Can't say too much about it though since I'm not sure where you're going with it yet. Looks good so far. :-)
Hey man, I like the level of finish you're bringing the piece to, good work. I'm interested to see how the final turns out.
I agree with Crash, that last one is sweet. I really like how you've handled it. I think the first one suffers a little because of the heavy-handed lines though. Cyborg?
Thanks for the kind words people! Technically, the black haired potrait was 10 times harder bcus I didnt redrawn it over with better lines or something, I just directly drew all the lines.
The cyborg is coming soon, since you guys were asking bout it Ive just worked on it for a while, and I will soon show the end result.
Stay Tuned! Cyborg will blow your mind!
Really love how you draw the lines. You have a really good foundation when it comes to making your characters/portraits. Still, sketching in PS? Wow that's something I can't do very well.. (only pencils XD). I must admit, I'm also curious to seeing your cyborg as well, the shading is done nicely, really good texture on the cyborg's . The details are astounding, a good balance of detail on the arms and legs as well. Even though the background is still a work in progress, I can't wait to see the finish work on this piece.
Hey! Finally. I really like the direction your drawing is going. It's starting to look really sweet. One thing, it'd be nice to see some structure in the background buildings. I know you're not done with them, and I'm not quite sure how to explain it. But in previous paintings of yours the buildings and structures look kinda... droopy? I don't know. I assume you were going for an organic look, which did work. Maybe just try to think of them as buildings with purpose and function, that have to hold their own weight.
You know your doing alright with it when that's the best crit I can come up with.
Now, that's definitely progress. Like your latest additions a lot. Only concern for me is that it's a little too monocromathique right now, would like to see a little more color for the lighting of the char and structures (but that's my personal taste - always been a sucker for the luminous colors of Royo for instance). Maybe on the "to do"-list? Curious about whether we are in an underwater world or if it's a flying cyborg? Guess that could easily be shown through luft bubbles (if in the sea) or suggestion of clouds in the sky (if on land). Well done anyways, will be exciting to see the next update :-)
