omg you have a hawk now?! awesome!!! that and the Puffbot is cute
how long are those figure drawings?
You're really improving from your first post - really nice. Love some of you figures and stuff on toned paper. Would like to see some more fully rendered figures on toned paper. Cool stuff.
Nice work, clean line drawings and good figure studies.
Watch out for Piranhas
Nom: Hawk's good, I get a lot of comments on it when I go out
BohemianChaos: They are 2 mins, 5s, 10s, 15s, and a 20.
Here are some sketches n shit... Not a very big upload; I've been under the weather for a few days.
BART and bus head studies:
I had an idea for a couple character paintings that I'm working on now, a thief prince and princess in mirrored compositions.
I think i've told you a million times how impressed I am with your works, but fuck i'll say it again! You're doing so great!
The confidence in your lines and brush strokes is really showing itself more and more, and soon enough it's just a matter of what you can think of, rather than "can I draw it" ?
Your oils are awesome, however I bet those pictures don't do em' justice!
I guess I'm just waiting to see finished pieces, and see how all these studies help.
thank you for your comment, nice sketchbook, good face and figure drawing, I like sp2 that picture's color especailly, you can look more Feng Zhu's perspective design to improve your machine, he is so strong in technical drawing
if theres one thing i dig its lines...and i like yours haha. you got a great concept of shadow and your angles on your characters are awesome...that one model you drew had some really wicked poses...i wish he'd come to my classes...but yeah neways. wicked style mate. better have more soon. respect
Wow, these sketches are BEYOND awesome! And the warmup you did as a self portrait....awesome! I really dig the thief/princess idea..you should get it up!
some pretty nice stuff's going on here. interesting character designs and i really love your three self portraits. great colors and alikeness.....at least i assume they turned out exacly like you ....i'm looking forward to see some more oil paintings soon
Nice stuff in here..will watch more. The pencils looks great, aggressive yet passive lines and good control. Keep at it
Pimp them highlights yo! This is a good update. The guy is looking better and closer to completion, but you still have a long way to go. Also, those life drawings are looking hardcore...
aaahhh.. nice update. glad to see that you got some time to work on this one. oh yeah, and all the other stuff that you've posted is looking good. any chance that we'll get to see some finished works? perhaps get one of your freelance clients to give you permission to show us a little bit?
anyhoo, keep at it.
Dose206 and everyone else who's asked for finished pieces: Be patient, I have some coming. I don't have much new stuff from freelance because I'm in the middle of a huge graphic novel job and it won't be anywhere near finished for months. Everything I *have* finished as of late was for school and I won't post any of that until we do another school dump. But it shouldn't be long, and then the update will be huge
Annnd for today we have a digital paint from the open session (40 min pose):
#38 really rocked, though it looks like you might have gotten tired before getting to that left ear.
I'd really like to see more of that scribbly style from the street scene with parked cars in post 2. Keep it up.
very cool stuff keep up the amazing work
Please visit my sketchbook ….I love the feed back
The greatest achievement is selflessness.
The greatest worth is self-mastery.
The greatest quality is seeking to serve others.
Those character portraits are way cool. Great thread, 5*.
this is a great sb, glad i found it!
i like the self portraits and the ink drawings.. your lineart
seems to be more confident when not using pencil
keep updating please!
Heads on the BART and some brush pen stuff from the open session today... It is true that my linework is more confident in pen than pencil but it's waaay less accurate. I'm working on trying to bring the two closer to each other... We'll see how that goes I guess.
I love this sketchbook. So many good worx, including the oil selfportraits. The life drawings are killer. In a lot of your latest pieces, including the life drawings, you seemed to have stopped using varying line thicknesses to give your pieces a more realistic look to them. Just noting, if your going for a realistic look through lighter lines and shading, then its my bad. Looking good, cant wait for more.
