Your character designs are great, they look like proper characters, although you could probably work some more on the anatomy. It seems I am echoing ChuanMing here, but he has good points. I'm especially impressed by the last unfinished sketch, it's a damn fine sketch!
Amzing works miles keep it up man!

zulu yeah, I'm gonna do a bunch of hand studies tomorrow, thanks##
TugelBend hahaha thanks dude
Tigermilk thanks for the advice dude, I totally get where you are coming from, I'm still trying to find a way of rendering that looks realistic without appearing washed out and stuff, cheers dude
jedininjaman thanks for all the tips dude, especially the bit about lighting, I tend to use dramatic lighting in my digital pieces but fall into the same cliches with traditional.
lilnebo lolol thanks nibras lol at the level ups haha. It has been what, 4 weeks? haha so there was time to improve, cheers and keep fighting
Ming basically dude, you just summed up the main things that bother me with my art haha, I'll get to work
PieMonster thanks dude
Mr D yeah I finally got photoshop back so colour studies and stuff can commence again. Just got all this coursework atm for school:/
jordy haha thanks man
Okay well, finished that last one, feet too small again=fail. I like rendered them and stuff, then noticed that they are too small, but didn't want to erase it and leave big indents and stuff. Next time:/
you improvement is gerat just keep doin what ur doin
a la bapsi thanks dude, I was thinking exactly the same thing. Everytime I get to the feet I'm like, um shit, err, boots!. Thanks fo' the advice
Reika haha, pfft, started as some anatomy stuff and sort of turned into a character, seems somewhere along the way clothes didn't come across as a priority
algenpfledger haha you do spoil me dude cheers but seriously, your work has way more interesting style to it
Well, since my employer must be on holiday or somethin I figured I'd go an get my ass kicked at CHOW.
So here is an early W.I.P
I plan on changing most of the colours and givin it a nicer look in general, anyway, early days yet, and It's sort of a good start.

this kicks aaaaaaaaaaaass
The girl in helmet came out very nice! I saw your comment on her feet. Maybe they seem too small, but because the fact that she's a girl you get a way with it a little. heh, imagine if the character was a man, it would have looked more strange then.
Anywyas, love the last one too, cool colors!
awesome update..I really like the piece in post#1362,
And your continous updates are inspiring ,
giving lazy slackers like me a wake up call!

I just stopped by to check out your work.
You have some nice character sketches.
In your last post (#1367) I noticed she has a cross necklace and yet her belt says "shit"... kinda a strange dichotomy, don't ya think?
Keep up the artwork.
Archipelago Thank you sirr.
Tigermilk yeah haha, it does look worse on a man haha, thank you
The angry filipino haha thanks man,
JTown yeah haha, I don't know why I wrote that on the buckle, but it fits the bill as a punk better.
Just more progress and a close up

Dude, those last sketches are just tooooo good. I thought your pencil work before hand was amazing but you've just got even better! You rendering (i think that's the right terminology?) has improved loads, all your characters seem so much more life like with much more texture to their clothing and skin.
My favourite out of your recent work has to be the mechanic class character, her clothing is sweet!
Keep kaining it up!
shamandaliehaha yeah, 15 until next march thanks girl, the stuff on the first page sucks big time:p
StolenSky thanks man the mechanic was fun to do. I did it sitting at this poolside bar, which the waiters found fun to stare at me, and then pretend they weren't when i looked up, haha
Just more progress, wanna have a good entry by Sunday, would appreiciate paint-overs, crits ect.

haha SHIT belt. an awesome belt to have. xD
I see the pants and legs are still in progress, so I really won't say anything about that.
Just remember folding and tension in her pants where her left leg meets the crotch. pulling it off right will perfect the "sitting on the truckbed[?]" look.
everytime i stop by here i keep wondering what the heck i was doing at 15 to keep me from becoming like you
i absolutely love your work man, keep it up!
Hey Miles. I've been lurking in your SB for quite some time now, i went through all of it, and I was just stunned by your never ending perseverance an willpower. U da man, and keep up the good work. My hardest problem is drawing regularly, and that slows down my progress to glacier movement. Just wanted to say keep up the good work man, your progress is insane, and quite visible with each passing month. Really diggin #1362.
Well after going through your SB I must say I'm amazed at your progress, man you're going like train there, it's a shame that I can't be more helpfull at the moment but still do what you do. The only thing I would advise is that maybe you should venture into animal realm a think that can only add to your arsenal of ideas.
a will that cannot bend"
a la bapsi thanks for the advice dude, an yeah the SHIT thing was me fuckin around, but some people liked it, so there you go
thrilafrommanila haha thanks man
Galador cheers dude, its all about just drawing everyday for a couple of hours, easy once you get into it if you got the time
R&F thanks dude
Reject-D haha I see what you mean, skinnied her face up a bit.
All older W.I.P's taken down.
I don't wanna sound annoying but I haven't really got time to work on this tomorrow, so I submitted it now. Which means I can't alter it now that its entered. So while I appriciate any suggestions, I won't really be making any more changes. I'm fairly happy with this, and have picked up a couple of new tricks, and learnt from some mistakes I made early on in the process of this painting.
the face is weird. And i would have to say that you made her to long. But w/e... painting is pretty good as well.
My observational skills may be great but i said nothing about my drawing skills

this new one is cool. some thing i could point out:
the leg on the viewer's left is somewhat flat, it looks like it is standing straight but at the same time it looks as if it is bent at the knee. it is hard to tell which is which.
and something seems off around the ankle area, i'm not sure if it is because of the guards she is wearing. if that is the case then just ignore it then.
hope i helped some! keep up the good work
