Thanks a lot all you guys, I'm trying real hard to get better, here's a ton of new stuff.

Some figure studies, some random face sketches, some drawings I actually really really tried on.

I hate when I draw things I like on lined paper. D:

Mr.Delicious: I've been drawing TONS of nudie ladies. Tons.

scott marshall: Thanks! I take too long and get distracted too easily to be able to draw much in real life, my refs are all pictures I saved in a folder. I can when I force myself to sit down & focus, which isn't often.

Here's some old ceramics stuff I liked from high school, & my first project in 3D design this year. We had to make a lamp. He gave us wire and rice paper to use, but I chose not to use either. I made a baby lamp & night light.

Lights on

Lights off! This looks much better in person. My camera is extremely terrible, and some light shows through the headphones too, I poked tons of little holes in them. Unfortunately, when I came into my class to hand in this project, the first thing I did when I walked in the room, was trip and drop it on the floor. Damn my clumy feet!

Night light. Wish these pictures were better. =(

I forget the name of this technique, but it's when you twist or roll or stack colored clay around eachother and cut slices out of it, and then roll it into the slab of clay youre making into the piece. It's realllllyyyy fun & makes lots of interesting shapes.

Mustachio lantern. He reminds me of the Pringles man.

PS. Can anyone tell me how to upload the little thumbnail that shows up next to the sketchbook link? I thought I figured it out & I attached a photo to my first post, but I can't get it to work...

I can see nice progressing from the start to end in this SB already, good work! Love those skateboard studies, very nice motion in them, but my very favorite gotta be the skeleton heads with legs at the start - adorable!

Keep it up!

Thanks for commenting in my sketchbook! You have an How do you say " An out of the box" variant style Not nailed down I like it.

But I'd love to know what pencils/pens your using. My pencil combined with my drawing angle make my outlines harsh. Suggestions?

Neat-o baby lamp! Actually thought it was a Buddha statue at first. It's neat to see your progression of work through the years...Ach, it sounds like you guys did fun stuff in 3-D. We only ever worked with white cardboard...and then spray-painted white...again.

VanDog: Thanks! I definitely didn't work hard on it aaat all, but it's a pretty good idea.

tokidokizenzen: Thanks! I've been practicing as much as I can.

DragonSnail: Yeah, I can definitely feel myself improving a lot already. I'm noticing things a lot better than I have before.

NicoRaven: I use really cheap mechanical pencils, they have a good range of value to them, even though the lead breaks pretty easily. & I use fine black rolling ball pens, doesn't really matter what brand, they usually all work pretty good.

moroi: Thanks! Yeah I like my 3D class a lot, it's pretty fun. We had to make bridges that could hold 2 bricks out of only coffee stirrers & wood glue, that was my favorite project 'cause I made a sweet lightning bolt bridge.

I love drawing animals lately. Mostly... animals turned into people. Tried to practice some faces but I got bored and wanted to do new things. I got some drawing books too, but I've only glanced at all but one of them, The Artists Guide To Facial Expression by Gary Faigan. I learned a lot.

Here's some boring notes I was taking:

Tiny bunnies. =)

Adorable sad kittens

I like how the girl with the sunglasses came out I think. I wish the scan came out better. =(

Two bears fighting with wayfarers(however you spell that) & head accessories. Sweet.

Me as a panda, and Dave (Mr.Delicious) as a grizzly.

Your earlier work is really stylish but I have to say that you're later work really stands out. You've done a fantasitc job with how you rendered fur and hair. There're some anatomical imperfections (but who don't? ) but otherwise great work. This one is just simply beautiful. Keep posting!

Ps. The mods prefer that we use the img-manager instead of img-tags.

Zombie_dla: What about them is anatomically incorrect? I'd like to know so I can maybe fix them, or remember it for the future. I like that one too, I noticed after I posted that one of the eyes is pretty noticably smaller than the other, I donno why I didn't see that before.

What's the img manager? Sorry, I'm new here.. :X

Hey man, thanks for dropping by my SB! You got some great tuff here yourself! And you got some nice faces going (only thing I'm noticing atm, because that's where my focus is at now hahaha)

The img manager Zombie referred to is probably the attachment manager, which I think you're already using haha. It's really nice of CA to let us use their bandwidth this way. Most places, you seem to have to link to some other upload site.

Keep those pieces coming man! I can see a very clear and marked improvement as thing go along.

CP

Edit:
I want a mustachio lantern too D: it's awsome!

Oh and, the pic that Zombie liked, I think maybe the neck is too long? It's like, more than half the length of the head. Should be more like 1/3. Uhh, no, the shoulders is 1/3 head from the chin, so maybe slightly less than 1/3. So says Loomis anyway (blame him if it's wrong!)

Interesting graphical designs on top. Hope you'll develop it.

I like your ceramic works too. Ceramic sounds fragile. I've done some clay sculpting before and found it very hard and challenging.

Keep creating and update soon!

cheers

Dave: Yeah, I always tend to make faces a little too short.

jurffy: yeah, ive been trying new expressions. i noticed i tend to only draw easy expressions, im trying to challenge myself more.

Skulls!

The top one I did about two-three weeks ago, and the bottom one I did today. It's kinda cool that theres a noticable difference in that short of a time period.

Drawing people at the train station... it's so much harder than I thought it'd be. Damn people wouldn't stop moving. Plus I felt like a total creep staring at them.

Work in progress... tiger stripes are hard =(
