Zipfelzeus: Thanks dude, glad you like dem dragons
As for anatomy stuff: I'm going to grind arms, legs and torso in the coming weeks. Faces will follow next.
As far as improvement is concerned: I don't know if I will noticeably improve in just a few months, but we'll see.
I'm going to give it my best shot!
Here's some demon head designs. Some babyheaded caterpillar or something. Weird and creepy.
And some anatomy to keep the anatomy train going.
Some more anatomy studies. I'm grinding these until I get it.
Referenced from Loomis.
1896951I started a small stillife (from life, Dierat , finally!)
This is two hours in.
Also some creature, kinda sucks but there you go.
Both are acrylics. Both need more work.
Yaaaaaaay I just love still lifes from direct observation!
Looks really good so far. One small crit though is that the top ellipse is slightly asymmetrical, particularly around that pinched area on the right. And the base should be more rounded I think based on the perspective of the top. (If you want to double-check your symmetry without taking a photo and pulling it into Photoshop, you can use a piece of tracing paper to sketch out the shape and flip the paper over to compare.)
Keep up the good work; I can't wait to see it finished!
Hey guys, what's up?
Dierat: thanks! I'm starting to like it too
I fully agree with your crit, I'll see if I can fix it sometime next week.
I've put only about 1 hour more into it so far, I was busy with other stuff.
I'll take a picture of it later.
The unions are starting to go old. Lol. That's real life I guess. Forever moving.
Here's some stuff. All acrylic painting.
Some landscape study and an update on the dragon with the ship and a start of a bigger landscape,
a painting of a swampy forest area close to where I live. I'm going to go
all Paul Taggart on this. (If you don't know the guy, go check out some
tutorials on youtube, some good stuff!) Also a color circle to see what happens.
A small painting I made this morning.
About 15x20cm, acrylics on paper.
dierat: thanks! Glad you like it
Whoa! It's been a while. I must get back into the groove
I decided to finalize the landscape from a few posts back in oils, so here's the first steps in that direction.
Everything is oils now, so from here on it's rendering time
Also some more work on the still life with the onions.
dierat: thanks! you make me smile I want to balance the white band of water more because it
disturbs me right now. And I hope to keep a sort of impressionistic vibe to it,
while I keep on refining and rendering this thing.
I didn't get any painting done however, very busy with 2 projects that are currently
under an NDA (non disclosure agreement) but hey, it feels great that people
are actually willing to pay for what I do.
Some sketches I've made in between however.
Keep it up!
