Hey, that Horrible Heart Monster topic was one of the DSG's. You should've posted it there! Not my best topic, admittedly, but sometimes I just phone 'em in and hope somebody makes it good. You made it good -- Nicely done!
Cool Baba Yaga house, too.
The Gosu: Heh thanks The whole idea of doing those sketches though is to obtain the most basic form and lines that make up the cars' character. Rendering them to death won't work for that. Also, very detailed car renders are usually only made after the design is already finished, and are mostly used for advertisement rather than having any real use in the design process.
Epias: Yah I was pushing it a bit too far with that last one I guess.
Chuck, mate: Hey thanks for stopping by
Lone Wold: More are on their way as soon as I can grab hold of a camera, the next ones are done on A2 format so don't really fit into my scanner any more
PieMonster: Decided not to finish him up, but will give the final challenge a go, so thanks!
William b. Hand: Thanks dude! Yeh I totally forgot to post it in there, also because we made it a day late I think.
So, here's for another update. Decided to drop working on my General, instead started on the latest COW: Two Headed Undead creature. Trying out some new techniques to keep the creative juices flowing, since I wasn't happy with the progress and render-to-death methods I was using on my last ChOW's and General. Not sure where it'll end up, but am having fun
Some sketchbook pages too:

flamable: hehe you got me I guess I just like to paint em, since hogs are awesome. Wasn't really going for too much of a boar look, but I guess the tusks kind of were a bit too much.
Anywho, here's an update on it. Gonna tweak it a bit more then go on with some ortho's to make the design a bit clearer, since this point of view doesn't show all of it.
Damn I thought I had made a comment yesterday here but I didn't ! Anyway man no need to say how awesome your industrials are ! But your char concepts are getting better and better too. And love the last COW your working on, although I just think you could maybe keep the white eyes on the left hog. Keep it commiiinnn !
flamable: Thanks, here's the final
Markusthebarbarian: Hey thanks! Yeah been working on my characters, I need to practice those more. Also, kept the white eyes in since it looks better indeed.
So, final version. Decided not to do orthos but to move on with something else, maybe the ChOW or something.
whoa the c.o.w. piece made my day!
yep, the newest cow entry is excellent, so much skill in there
I just took a break to post this.
But sometimes I also draw stuff
that creature is looking awesome sir usofast
looks awesome !!!
the creature is just cooL
I love the final version of the Undead with two heads! The colours and brushwork are really good!
Love the C.O.W.
cool colours and detailwork. Like how you set a focus point on the one head.
The top horns might look a bit simple/ cartoony though. It's also a question of prefferance , but might have been also an interresting touch to have the heads differ in character and shape.
Great progress overall. The various approaches towards subjects off your comfortzone look promising.
Love your work, the CoW looks awesome! More!
MacTire: Thanks, here's some more pen sketches!
Josef K.: Glad to hear that
Mischeviouslittleelf: Heh thanks!
TheGnoll: Hey dude. Yay for bumps I guess
Epias, Kiera, Aaro_n, (M) Artist, JaneM: Thanks a lot for stopping by and dropping a note, much appreciated!
Blacky: Hey, you're right about the horns. I guess I kinda forgot to get back at them. The choice to keep the heads similar was deliberate though, as the topic sort of requested that. Thanks for the feedback!
corza334: Thanks for stopping by, here's some more
Small update, did some sketchbook doodles lately to relax from other work. First one is for the current COW 136: Beatific Dragon. Decided to spend a bit more time on the actual design this time, so started to browse through books and sketch dragon heads inspired by insects and stuff. Far from anything that looks utterly holy yet, but had fun. Also some notes on there from the automotive course I'm following
Second one is a quick sketch for CHOW 150: Queen's Consort, but didn't feel like going in the right direction so I gave up on it.

Hi Guido! I've told you twice already, but happy birthday!
I really like that Mothdragon! It looks so realistic, especially the ends of the wings. It makes me realize how cartoonish my drawings are, really need to work more from observation and get that gritty, realistic feel.
It's still sunny over here in NZ, although we've had some rain and it's now Autumn. Drawing people isn't much fun in the summer, everyone wears sunglasses which take their personality away.. well just on the surface, which is what I'm drawing, so.. :/
I haven't drawn people in the winter before, but I think it will be fun since everyone will wear warm fuzzy things.
late happy birthday man!
sorry for the useless bumping man, its just that i honestly think you'redoing great!
honestly, seeing all that work of yours together on your blog just makes me jealous
loving your designy sketcheroos for the dragon, you have a really neat design process.
thanks for sharing.
awesome update! cool thing you share some insights in your working method! the sb-pages look fantastic! can't wait to see what you'll come up with!
