from any time period, must be obviously non-human (robots are ok, pointy elf-ears are not enough). Must also have a uniform with insignia and at least one non-lethal weapon.

Let me know if you have any questions or if the topic for #60 is someone else's choice.

I'm thinking some sort of insectoid alien that is basically a living subwoofer, with some sort of tympanic membrane on its torso that produces intense sound to incapacitate criminals. Or something.

oh yeah, one thing I forgot to say is that the creature would be policing civilians of its own kind, humans might not necessarily exist in this world.

Alien Police Officer

Hey guys just chucking up a working idea for the alien, I wanted to figure out what my alien would be before I chucked clothes and amour on him.
So I just did this sketch of a pretty humanoid alien, but gave him some extra arms and a hollow abdomen, the idea being that thes guys are all asexual and just lay an egg which would fill out that area, hence the huge child bearing hips!
Also I thought that maybe the little inner arms would be for delicate stuff they have an extra knuckle compared with the larger arms which also have a thumb, basically big arms for carrying and little arms for fiddly stuff, kinda like a crab with its lil appendages near it mouth. Anyways bout 9-mins so far, photoshop.

Now I gotta figure out what his/its uniform should be
Cheers
Matias

Ok I messed about a bit with his uniform and have started to go through it. I thought I'd stay away from blue on the uniform (the dude is basically blue anyways ) but now am wondering if it'll work out. But this is what I got so far.

Okay, hopefully made the deadline! all finished up, a touch rushed to finished but overall not too unhappy with. I decided to carry the gimp cop theme going, so he has an Elctro-whip 3000 to go with the skin tights and cod piece! Ouch!

Ok, here's the finished one. No time for any colours so just pencil will have to do.

longshao- Non-lethal weapons are simply weapons that subdue without causing death or severe injury. Real life ones include tear gas, tazers (sp?), and rubber bullets. Feel free to make up your own, though. For example, my character (if I do this), is a member of a species that detects its surroundings and communicates using sound and radar. So, my law enforcer uses focused sound and radio noise to overwhelm and incapacitate wrongdoers.
Matias and Nutter- Nice strong starts, both of you.
AbstractPagan- I know the name of this site isn't GrammarNazis.org, but in your caption, "their" should be "they're." As far as the art goes, the foreshortening on his right arm is way off, and its causing his wrist to be bent at an uncomfortable angle, for both him and the viewer. Also, don't cut your characters off at the ankles. Anyway, besides those flaws, you're off to a good start.

So yeah, I hope no one else has the idea of a humanoid arthropod with a head like a satellite dish.

Wow. This is a great topic. Does anyone else have an overwhelming urge to somehow mutate Mahoney from "Police Academy" into a mutant badger? Just curious.

I didn't before, but now it's all I can think about. I think it'd be pretty hilarious to see everyone from PA redesigned as over-the-top mutants

First time entry and first digital painting that wasn't an environment so I would love some feedback.

In a civilization of midget mutant rabbit fetuses the intellectual are the enforcers building large robotic law enforcement suits which are based of stories from there elder Peter Cottontale. One rabbit can fit in the cranium cockpit and guide this mazzive machine around. On one shoulder it has a non-lethal net launcher and in the other hand it carrys a dart pistol which is loaded with a slight overdose of stewed carrots to knock there opponent out.

Life on the semi aquatic planet of Quebos is anything but easy. Run by a ruthless dictator who has created a police state where civilians are nothing more than slaves. Local law enforcement officers carry out a variety of duties and orders specifically from the emperor. Keeping the peace however isn’t one of them. Although martial law had been declared decades earlier, the local population continues to rebel and carry out their own plans unless specifically placed under the emperors ruling thumb. Shock-batons and crowd controlling gasses are used to keep general order… lethal means are used should things get too out of hand. Roaming mounted patrols make the rounds of the city slums usually turning a blind eye to the petty crime... but continue to be ever conscious of the uprising that will soon happen.

Well cut off at the ankles was largely inpart due to a terrible scanner ancient as the hills, if it aint inked; then it might get cut off. This scan was the best of four. Anyway, yeah 'their' should be 'they're', completely taken off guard by that, man I am usually quite noticing of such said things.

Pretty good wip dragon4lunch.

Here's my wip.

When the League of Planets voted on which race would become its law officers, unanimously, the alien race of Broskes were elected. Their no non-sense gruff demeanor was perfect for law enforcement. They have no sense of humor, and though often times rude, are never deceiving or akin to bribes. Each is assigned a Gas Gun, a non-lethal weapon that uses the musk of the grotesquely cute Impas. This musk has an euphoric effect on all known sentient life forms except for the Broskes, who never even smile, let alone become euphoric.

Well, this really needs more work, but since I won't have any more time to work on it at all, I better just put it in as my entry.Cartoonish as it is.

Edit: I forgot I'm supposed to write a thing about it all... Too dang long since I was around. So here goes.

The demon-like Law Officers at the infamous rich kiddie's colony of Bervert 07, are in fact the very creatures that came through one of the portals at the early stages of Beaming Technology. Whence they originate is a place beyond their own memory. As their time with us has waxed, however, they've shown a remarkable affinity for law enforcement, an evenhanded sense of justice, and an unwavering allegiance to following commands.Officers are equipped with a compact immobilization arachnid mesh and a variable output Gauntelekt Arc Emitter, which by default is focused on pacification. The Officers go to great lengths to apprehend perpetrators without the use of lethal techniques, and are known for their ability to endure high levels of physical trauma in order to complete an assignment. They possess a hyper-regenerative constitution and recover from injuries within hours. They are the perfect peace-keepers in an environment where the use of violent techniques would be an affront to civilized politics and economic practice.
