Thumbs down Turkish, put a lid on her. ▌▌ [м] 10/29

▌▌NEW STUFF ON LAST PAGE.
WARNING: I AM LEARNING ART

I feed off of critiques and try to be as humble as possible.

"When a young artist asked me for advice on drawing the human foot,
I told him, 'The first thing you must learn is how to take your shoe off,
and then how to take your sock off, then prop your leg up carefully on
your other knee, take a piece of paper, and draw your foot.'"
-Chuck Jones

I am working with Mr. Delicious' schedule daily!

NOTE: I am going to log all of my important links; such as reference, books, etc here for my/your leisure.

▌▌Books - full book downloads herr
▌▌Music - it inspires us all
▌▌Resource Sites - ref & more
▌▌Tutorials - for those who can't get past drawing 101

I'm Matt Berger, this is my new [2007-09] sketchbook. You can view previous works here. I have progressed, no?

hey Matt, Youve really imporved, its great to see your being influenced by Ashley Wood, the mgs comics are good, although I reckon he overstylised Snake to the point of him losing his character.

I hear your up for OC sometime, Ill add you to msn.

j a k e: hehe, as you requested here's the man with long ears. nice to see your checkin' up on me. ;]
Thestjester: thanks mate! glad to see you here.

I did Batman with short ears because he's much cooler that way. Haven't any of you seen Jim Lee's Batman? He's way cool with short ears! *sigh*

EDIT: Battiemannie! :]

Woo New sketchbook!

Love your stuff! I like how you did that speed painting from a scene from Indiana Jones, great economy of form and light.

hey matt, batman is good.
WHen using pencil, your hatching seems a little too "choppy" to me. Generally its wise to use both soft rendering(going over, and over with a pencil), and hatching. Often the values arent realied enough with hatching, because the concern is with the form.
I respect your targets quote, Jp is one helluvan artist

oh sorry mate, didnt mean to offend you. But I guess its personal preference. I dont hate Jim lee. I was a fan of him . ANd I still think his knowledge of anatomy and sequential work is top notch. But there are just so many clones out there that every book I pick up looks like a jim lee. rip off. and soemhow I end up getting bored by it. wierd reason but Its true for me. I loved his work on batman hush . his best work by far. you should check out sienkiewicz bat man. Its really good. Its where he started experimenting with his style.
getting back to teh update. Its looks loose and nice(the last one). I like . birdy is too loose I guess. too blurry. Is it intentional? The other one looks blurry by intention. No It would be great if one of these updates are finished and tweaked.
Ncie work man. Its good to come here.

j a k e: well frank loves you and your work. i like movie stills all around. i also love movies so you will be seeing more of all that good stuff. maybe some anatomy studies, if i feel the urge to scan. blah, scanning takes so long and i could be drawing! nice to see you again! cheers!
bhanu: yes, it can get boring to see the same artistic style being copied all the time. but that is why i love Jim Lee's stuff so much. he changes it little by little in each series he does. yes the Hush series was great. it's what made me a fan on Lee's work. that Sienkiewicz's Batman is really sweet too! thanks for stopping by... you will find no offence here. and i hope i inspire when you do come here. draw draw draw!
Tom Tom: i didn't think you would care much for my new sb. ha! thanks for the support and yes, Studio 2nd Street here we come!
Texahol: oh, man! would be lovely to see you at Studio 2nd Street. get out of that debt. debt is something that should never be taken lightly. keep up the good work! loving those master copies!
designboot: thanks and thank you for stopping by once again! ;]

Things I Learned Today Foo || Never underestimate the powers of procrastination. You may do one thing for 2 minutes and then it goes on for hours. This was my mistake today after getting on MSN for 2 minutes. Terrible. I was going to draw tons of zombies, but instead I wasted my day chatting with people. I feel sad now and will make it up tomorrow.

I want these.

Something that popped in my head and a quick movie still from The Game starring Michael Douglas.
