So, I'm working on this illustration gig where I have to draw the same character in 3 different styles, fantasy, comic book, and manga. This first one is what we're calling fantasy style. I didn't design the character, but I did alter the original design a little. Hope everyone digs!
so comic will have more attention to the outline and halftones?
and manga ... well we all know manga ^^
I'm definitly looking forward to see the other one
I'd have guessed "comic" for this one btw

<mildly sarcastic remark that seems a little cutting at first read, but contains wisdom and is really rather funny>
Ilaekae: "I'm sick and tired of "purists" who dictate their own anal preoccupations to everybody else as the word of gods."
I totally agree with you. This is actually the way I would normally do comic stuff, but the client labels this style as fantasy, so I'm just trying to do my job. The actual comic style will be more like the smoother, shinier style you'd see on a Batman birthday card or other merchandise. It may not be what comics actually look like, but it's how a lot of non-comic readers believe comics look.
...and here's the second image in the set. This is what I'll be using for the comic style.
and here's the final image in the set. Manga style.
Great ones!. But the colours are a litle bit "pinky" and well its a strange character.
Fantastic realization over all.
Hope see more works from you.
