Two designs that are works-in-progress.
I was thinking of a rhino as I was drawing the 1st one, and of a deer while drawing the 2nd one.
The anatomy for the 2nd one isn't really final, as I need to find a reference first, and the bit I have now is just out of my head.
Any crits/comments welcome!
On the first critter, the nearest leg to us needs to go back a bit (about a half-width) to make it look properly balanced. Just a niggle...

ahh, good point!
beutiful detailing and light and shadow on the first piece. please finish detailing this one - it looks like it could become a portfolio piece. maybe pay attention to the placement of the far ear- it may be visible although the creature is being seen from its left side. The second creature doesn't look well grounded to me. Perhaps better placement of feet on a ground plane may help.
