I have started a new sketchbook thread about my creator owned comic MAYA where I will show MAYA related artwork only.
I really would appreciate if you can stop by and give regular comments about the development. I want this thread to become a 'Making Of' thread on how I am developing the art for the books. I also want to get feedback to make this comic one hell of a ride for action, Sci-Fi and horror comic fans.
If you really like the art I also would appreciate a five star vote to make the thread really known and spread the word about the upcoming book.
Here you can find the thread:
MAYA Sketchbook Thread!
I will post Maya related art in the new thread earlier and later update this sketchbook with the stuff, so please follow the other thread if you want the newest updates on the comic.
Nonetheless here is the newest Maya Sketch and a preview for my upcoming game art workshop from the German print magazine "Making Games" 03/09 showing the original concept art of BadAss Rabbit and the 3d mapping and texture I did for the 3D model in the new workshop.
Feedback always welcome! ... especially in the new MAYA thread
And if you want to follow me on Twitter for updates you can do it here: http://twitter.com/ChrisNoeth
I think your sketchbook will need anatomy training urgently to give it injection of naturalness in characters, your rendering is good and accurate but characters are stiff and little too cartoonlike in many aspects.
Bridgman studies, life drawing and posemaniacs would make progress faster

legionare: Danke! Thank you! ... Great you like it.
Nettle_Mountain: Thx! I know what you mean but I am doing stylized comic work from imagination. I don't want it to be too realistic. Regarding the stiffness it makes sense and i will work on it.
Here is another one from the movie monster series:
Make sure to check out the blog from our game company Rough Sea Games here:
There you can find a MakingOf image of Stripe.
And regarding MAYA: I've sent the pitch out some days ago. Fingers crossed! Wish me luck
I have finished working on a new making of article about the animation of my BadAss Rabbit (see past posts). I still have to write the article but you can see a small test animation from the project here:

Best wishes and a happy new year!
Here is the cover for the comic... the first sequential page is up since Dec 24...
I wonder why I don't get any comments for weeks on conceptart.org... has something changed or maybe version 4.0 already is online and i didn't notice it!?
Anyone out there?
sorry I haven't dropped by in a while man, school's been keeping me busy. Glad to see the comic has finally taken off, I really respect you for making your dream come true man...the story seems to be really shaping up so far, keep working hard!
Nice comic man! Really enjoy your drawing style and color scheme.
Only thing I noticed is that you always focus on full figure or shots of the head.. Maybe that's just me, but it generates a little bit of ... boredom. Maybe try some detail shots of the protagonists hands or close-ups of her eyes/ mouth, etc ? But well, I'm just a hobby-comic reader
Keep it up, wanna see the next page soon!
arestocrat: Thx! I appreciate your detailed feedback!

The punisher costume looks slick on Maya.

Here are some pages from an old creator-owned comic pitch I did some years ago.
I haven't shown them here in my sketchbook, so I thought I should add them.
I wasn't very active over the last months because for the last years I totally concentrated on my game related work. But after quitting my job in the game biz in March 2013 and founding my own company McPeppergames in April 2013 I now have enough spare time left to concentrate on improving my comic art skills. So that's my plan: Improving my comic art in my spare time to pitch some new creator-owned material in the future.
Here are the pages of SNACK... with my story, art and lettering:
