Here it is. Just in case I fucked something up let me know, i'll fix.
cool, not sure who to vote for yet. i'm not sure if any of them are as good as usual, i think alot of them where just taking out of a collection just to be used for this comp and not taking for this topic.
i dont understand Makoblue's, Born_stubborn's and Fingers.
ive gotta vote jonton cos that looked just like wood to me.
my second vote would have gone to stine tho, thats a nice shot, such a tiny little guy!
I don't get the last picture so, stine gets my vote
All some nice entries. I especially liked Makoblue's... shots that show human form in abstract ways have always intrigued me.
Vote goes to Makoblue. Abstract? Pkichedelic? i dunno. There is a huge ammount of mystery in it. + he is shooting on film which eventually we all have to start doing
Anywayz, second runner up would be Stine. Great quality, great photo, fits the subject. However, it fits the subject too well. Took me a few seconds to spot that little guy.
I'm really jelous with Stine for winning so many challenges so I just dont wanna vote for her entry. Just kidding...
Evolution - Good entry dewd, but too formal. It's lacks that certain attraction and photograpy feel. Funny tho!
Born_stubbuorn - Nice concept but a bit to clean and simple for me.
Gee, mine really sucked hey? It's supposed to look like an extension of the branch, but maybe that's a bit too difficult to see!!??
Okay, so something that looks like something else?
Stine, it's a shame she didn't get the pic she wanted, but a bug that wants to look like a leaf.
Maybe it's just a slave to fashion?
Evolution. Well, it's an ape, innit? Idiot.
Jonton, wood, book, thing? It fits well into the whole 'looks like something else' idea.
However I don't know if it looks like something else, because what I think it is could well be what it is. So it's more 'confusing' than 'something else'... if you get me.
Claude's found a lizard that looks like a leaf/extension of thing; seems to be a pretty popular fashion these days. And nah, it didn't suck, it just hasn't gone down as well as the others, still a fine picture of a purdy lizard.
Alucard, nuff said in title.
Fingers, this one falls really well into the catagory of looking like something it isn't.
Sadly, as a picture it doesn't exactly take my interest full on; it seems to lack a definate point that it's focusing on. It's just a picture of a rock, there's no real use (as I see it) of the blue circle, etc. It has the ridge in the centre of the photo, but it still seems to lack something. There's also a bright point infront of the ridge inside the hollow, that takes away from it, draws the eye too strongly. It's a shame that the photo seems a little off-centre/out of position, but ach well.
Born_tubborn, same reasoning as with Jonton.
Makoblue, lovely picture, no doubt about it. Works really well it terms of contrast, if only you were here for the contrast challenge. It's a hand, and it looks like a hand. It doesn't look like something else to me.
All in all, not wanting to make this post too long by assessing each and every photo, I'll have to go with Fingers. It does after all look like something it isn't, a cave, when it isn't... so yeah, does it for me.
its a music vinyle, i should have gave it a title to give it away abit more. thanks for your comment.
Yea, my bad .
Its almost a 100% crop too, and without a title giving a hint to what it is I can see how anyone would be confused by what it is.

The ape looks like an ape, but its actions make it look like it's human.
Easy on the bug words, guys!
Now, Rhynome, you be nice or you get no pralines.
all im going to sayComrades, arguing in the PhotoForum* makes it unfluffy!
Oke. Mako, you have till 6:00 to star a new challenge. Dont keep us waiting. Should you not be able to onne of the mods should come up with a new challenge. Im really having thoughts about who should put up the subjects for the challenge.
Eh? Have I won?
I didn't think the poll had ended yet, but I'll start thinking of one now.
Jonton. For concept, color, composition, and DOF. I thought it was wood and or maybe piano strings... ClaudeEGYPT and Fingers run close seconds.
Sorry no entry from me. Way too busy.
(All of my life looks like something it's not.)
But now we need a tie breaker.
I've always thought that porta-potties should be painted in a faux red brick motif.

Ooooh, just great! Well, will someone find Playmobil Pimp?
If you can't decide on a winner, I don't mind forfeiting.
No one is forfeting. I'm gonna fire up a new poll
