I think your work is really great. very exciting. One thought. If you are looking for work in comics, this stuff will never get you the job. Editors want to see 4-6 pages of tight sequential work. If you have some, post it up, let the world see. If not, translate the work you do have into a cool storyline.

Maybe you have seen my post, but I am in search of an artist for a Trading Card Game I am publishing. The request is about 170 small pictures for about $500, but if you do the job, your name will be assosiated with the game. Meaning in the future, when Wizards of the Coast purchases the game, they will go to you for the hundreds of more cards. And they will pay very well.

If you're interested, you can email me at DRJOEYJOE@aol.com. There are several artists interested in the project, but I am interested in you being a part of it. Thank you for your time.

I was going to restate that I do paying jobs only. I'm sure your project is wonderful and has a great future but I can't afford to take on anymore pro-bono work. Sorry...

My rates are fair and I am willing to negotiate prices and listen to what type of budget you have. I know how hard it is to be an independent. So if you would like to pitch your idea with a price you already have in mind I am willing to listen to what you have to say. If its to low of an offer I am willing to shop talk and see if we can come to an estimate that both parties can agree on.

But like I said no more pro-bono offers please.

Fair enough?
Rorke

Wow, you must have a lot of faith in Wizards of the Coast. Because I did a piece for them back in December 2006; it got published--and I didn't get paid anything.

I have extra space for work any time.

B&W news paper Funny Comics 1-to-3 panels=$30-to-$50 (I have examples if you want.)
Character Single Pose/Portraits= $80B&W / $95 color
Character turn around sheets= $100-to-$120 B&W / $120-to-$160 full color
Tattoo Design= $70-to-$100(depending on the size and detail it might be more)
One Logo design= $100
T-shirt Design= $100
CD covers= $300-to-$500
Comic cover work = $400
Landscape scene = $200-to-$500

Comics:
I don't do just pencil and inking I digitally paint the page fully. You can see some of my past comic work here for insight into what I mean. I have new sequential pages to show that are not on any of my threads. Please email me for a private viewing of my new stuff..

Black and White-Gray scale painted pages 120$-160$ per page depending on panel amount and detail needed.

Full color painted pages 180$ - 200$ per page depending on panel amount and detail needed.

Who can pay these rates? Anyone. If you have a small budget, we can set a page schedule so that your only paying for 1-2 pages a month. Sometimes I am working for 2-3 indie comics at a time. Some can afford 4-5 pages a month while others only 1-2 pages. It may be a slow journey but it will be a quality one.

How long does it take to complete a page? Well its give and take really, some pages take longer while others only a couple hours. Sometimes we get behind and sometimes we get way ahead. It usually balances out over time.

Every once in a while a writer will come along and want to hire me out for 2-3 months. This usually saves them money, since uninterrupted work usually generates more pages. So you have the option of hiring me out for the month at 1500$US

Panels/Frames:
These page prices include 4-5 panels, any additional panels after 5, I charge 12$ for every additional panel.

Edits: These page prices include 2 major edits and after that I charge by the hour (16$ hr). I'm fine with doing minor edits for free (within reason). If you would like to know more about edits please email me and I can give you a break down of what I mean by major and minor edits and how we can go about preventing major edits from occurring.

Profit sharing: I don't work on any project for royalties alone. If the profit sharing is considerably generous included with my page rates above, I will consider giving discounts on a per page rate. Or discounts on extra things, like covers and character sheets, that you may need to advertise the comic with. As examples, this may be something like 5-10$ off every 5th page, or a couple free character sheets. With royalty sharing I usually go out of my way to see it get to comic cons and that I partner up with you, the writer, to see it be introduced to the world. On the whole I don't really need royalties on top of my page rates, but it does make me invested in the project like a partner. So its something to consider.

I feel like I need to restate that I never work on royalties alone. Not in the 7 years that I have been a freelancer have I ever had to, nor will I ever consider it. NEVER EVER!!!!!! .... I'm sorry but I get a lot of emails from writers each month.... and I thought I should make that pretty straight forward. (Never)

Contract: For any project that is more than 400$ I will have to make up a contract with you, that we will agree upon and both get signed copies of VIA snail mail.

Adult Content:I have a gut of steal, so if you need anything that isn't exactly PG13 then don't hesitate. Gore, Sexual content, and questionable morals are all things I have worked with in the past. I wont judge you or say no based on content.

Hey you crazy irish you. The crazy vodka Norwegian from IFX here. You are really getting to be more and more a woman after my heart. Great stuff you have here. Cool to see you are so diverse as an artist. Well, I'm here at work now, graveyard shift, hoping to get to work on my Summer for the seasons pictures. But I often gets a bit wierd at work late at night, and can have enough with keeping my concentration on work.
Well see you around

Looking for larger projects that would start around the end of next month. Or very small contracts right now.
