Ive always enjoyed drawing with ballpoint pens in my sketchbook, but hate the way the color runs when you apply a waterbased layer on top of it- guache/watercolor.
Is there somthing I can spray on top of ballpoint that would allow me to paint on top of it with out ink bleed?
Spray fixative should work fine. Just make sure you put a few coats on to give the ink enough protection against the water.
Why not use the watercolor first and draw in top.
Strange coincidence that every man whose skull has been opened had a brain.
Are you talking traditional ballpoints or roller ball pens?
Traditional ballpoints use a thick, syrupy ink that's waterproof. Roller ball pens use a waterbased liquid ink similar to fibertip pens. Both kinds of ink are dye based, so they may eventually bleed through any opaque layer layed on top of them.
