A small station with one of my last traditional paintings. Oil

Comments and critical welcome.
Thank you. E.T
You can see the W.I.P of this painting here
man, astonishing details.
respect for this! i think, i myself would have been totally exhausted after painting all this wicked lil stuff.
wow... so much detail... mad props... my only crit could be that the "skin" is very similar in specularity to the armor... I think making a more noticable difference would work better....
Amazing amount of detail, but I think the eyes look a little.. empty. It's good that you didnt do the traditional glowing eyes, that daemons usually have on paintings, but I still think you should have done something else then just flat black. Maybe make it reflect the lightning a bit? I think totally black eyes would look cooler than just nothing. Or maybe a goat eye? They really look devilish imho.
Nice painting anyway, gj!

i dont know if it is the varnish or what but it just dulls the contrast ever so slightly.
Zeichentier: thank you for the comment,
glikster: thank you for the comment and your remark on the skin
which is right.
Kaye; thank you for the comment, for the eyes it is a choice which I
prefer, I find thus it darker and without apparent feeling leave the
spectator vis-a-vis with nothing, like a death's-head without life.
DS illustration: thank you.
Heat: thank you for the comment, on my screen that seems well for
contrast, but it is always hard to pass from a real painting then of a
photograph and in continuation a scanner...
What ammount of time you spend on this? Just curious.
