Burning Eyes ~[4.12.07] finally got cs2, some digi doodles to take break from acrylic

Burning Eyes
Name: Jamie Markus
Age: 18
Location: USA

Syrogen and I decided to start a combined sb, in order to keep us improving, give us all the feedback you can, we will greatly appreciate it. I just graduated high school on tues, so now I have plenty of time to draw... Lets see where this sb goes! Shall we?!

To start off im just gonna post some doodles as of late. Not my best stuff but I dont wanna fill it with old drawings, thats what my website will be for.

Btw, these are just studies

Hey thanks for doing this man , my digital stuff is lagging so I'm just soaking it all in. Your blending method has a nice look too.

Those lines all over, is that so you see distance from, for ex., the jaw to shoulder, shoulder to hip, hip to thigh, nipple to stomach etc etc? I do that but it a much different way. Your approach is new and interesting to me.

Thanks for posting in my sketchbook, it will indeed be nice to keep an eye on this thread!

One thing about that steps image, it bothers me, and by me i mean ME, to use guidelines to that extent, i dont want to rely on things like that. Im not sure if thats good or bad but i feel like that could become a crux (spelling). I want to learn proportion and draw with my eyes what i see.

Maybe thats just me, i dont read or study enough to really know much about technique and shit

Looking forward to the next lotta updates!

Hey burning eyes and syrogen, great stuff.
But just wondering burning eyes why you pull back right at the last second and leave off finishing the render? It's like building a skyscraper and leaving the windows and trim out.
Would love to see the skull, the woman and the wolf tightened up..but hey that's just my two. Cheers fellas.
