I think there's only a set few numbers you can end up with - for example, 10-19 all result in 9. So they just use the same symbol for 9 as well as all the other possible answers, and intermingle them with symbols for the other numbers.
The number you end up with is always a multiple of 9. If you look at any of the glyphs that are in the 9 times table, they are all the same. They just alternate what glyph that is to make it look more random. Good find though!
yeah... there are only a few actual possible answers... thye use the same symbol for the possible answers... next time check #9 and #45... same symbol...
EDIT... Dave posted that as I was posting... and he was more mathematically precise...oh well...
Goddamn you guys. I was so proud after I figured it out, ready to report my genius.
No, I get the mathmatics, but the symbol for 9 is different than the symbol for 81, which is different than the symbol for 45, etc.
Someone has yet to explain how it can differentiate which symbol to show.
Someone has also yet to explain why Rice Crispies always go "snap, crackle, pop" and not "eat me, bitch!"
our math teacher did a trick similiar like this one for us in class, he had a loooong explenation, but i cant remember anything of it
Every time you refresh and start anew, the symbols are randomly generated. But you'll see that they are always consistent on multiples of 9. That's how they getcha, you see new symbols every time so naturally you "wtf" until you see that the multiples have icons that are always consistent.
