My Works and Sketches
Most of the this stuff I saw at the workshop but the lifedrawings are a pleasent surprise. Gotta say, that drawing session Monday night was really fun. Anyways I got a question for ya...i've been trying to improve my memory like Jason said at the workshop, by looking at something for a period of time, going back and trying to draw the same thing. It's kind of working for me but i'm having the hardest time remembering the poses which I observe at life drawing. So my question is (and there might not be an answer to this)...do you try to do something similar or do the poses just come to you? If so, do you do something in particular which helps you memorize it better like talking in your head about the pose?
If the question seems unanswerable, just ignore me...
oh and sweet stuff.

loving the birdman dude. completely killer. My favourite is still the Erika drawing in your first post - it's like an entire movie compressed into one frame. Also like how you've used the simplified clouds to contrast the realistic rendering on the figure and heighten its realism.
dude - you gotta keep posting. seriously.
Beautiful. I'm gonna work my ass off to catch up to ya...promise
nice as always... i do like your imaginary stuff..but i really like the life drawings..the three girls together is a nice composition and you can sense the 3dmentionality on those..too bad you were drunk hehe.
dude you work is always a treat to look at.
wes i want to live with you for like a year ok? i'm a pretty good cook. dont take that the wrong way. haha.
Very nice dude, loving your stuff.
Amazing drunk work!
Truely amazing Wes! Sweet Josephine's grandmother keep posting and Take Care.

I'm going to say what everyone who meet you in montreal, has already said, it was great meeting you in montreal wes, your sketches are even more awe inspiring in person! Great to see some new stuff from you wes. Lastly "the art of wes burt" the name of the art book you need to come out with already!
Goddamit Dile don't bump this freaking thread ! You're raising everyone's hopes and dreams only to tell them
fucksakes... Wes, UPDATE! Please?
It's almost a miracle you pumped some of your recent work in here, at all. It's like an early hanuka or something.
Am curious if you have time/ desire to do some oilworks samewell.
Anyways, have a nice day, whenever you get to read this...
You have simply got to keep posting your work here. It's magical. Simply amazing.

heh,if i'd go against you in a td and you were punch-drunk like in montreal (where i didn't notice you being that drunk) i'd probably stand a chance (judging from the life-drawings). oh man, those were good times. looking forward to next time already.
This is worse then any drug I can imagine
This is just... awesome.
